Interesting show....I didn't quite know what to expect. I liked the Ash Ra Tempel song the best. Am looking forward to future replicas.
Byrnes
Hey Byrnes. Glad you enjoyed it. I've already started picking tracks for a second episode. Trippy stuff!
I KNOW my Krautrock, Cap'n, and yet - you still came up with a new one: SERGIUS GOLOWIN. Real excited about this series!
Oh, R.I.P. Conrad Schnitzler!
Mars --- Glad to see you're onboard with the Krautrock trip! Yeah, I heard about Schnitzler's passing on the same day I was posting the first podcast...
Fantastisch! Ich mag Kraut Rock sehr! Britt gave me an Amon Duul CD for Christmas one time. Amon Duul II - Wolf City.
Another great and really obscure set! Thank you for another aural journey, on Lufthansa Sonic Daydream (LSD) !
Hey Kapitän!
At, last, something we can dance to.
Zwölf
That's right, my friend... It's time to put on your böögie shoes and get down with your bad self!
I hope to have a second Krautrock episode posted soon...
OHH YEAHHHH. This is gonna be another stellar series. Some gorgeous stuff here that I've never heard before: That Sergius Golowin was just blissed-out beautiful. That Neu! is no doubt proto-punk, and I also hear some roots of Norwegian black metal in that dark, moody Klaus Schulze track. Can't wait for the next one!
Happy birthday, Tom D! The music was great, especially considering how I am so into ambient right now. I can hear the roots of the music everywhere. The historical background about the band members was particularly interesting. Looking forward to your next installment. The real surprise for me was the early Kraftwerk - a very different sound indeed. Terrific show!
Thanks for the birthday wishes, Big D!
Happy to hear you enjoyed the first Krautrock podcast. I'm dying to record the second installment. I've got the songs all picked out. I just need to find the time to put it together. Hopefully in the next few weeks... Before Christmas, for sure!
Awesome!
Thank you so much for revelaing all of those bands and tracks!
I'm glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for commenting.
