Been listening to your playlists for about a decade now! I shout you out on Bluesky every once and a while!
Good stuff! I didn't realize at the time how many of these nineties' bands were influenced by the psychedelic era of the sixties. I can really pick up the impact in several of the tracks here. I really dug the Meat Puppets and Possum Dixon tracks. Rock on! Byrnes
Hey there, Hunter! Thank you for saying hello. Very cool that you've been a longtime listener and occasionally put in a good word for me on Bluesky. Much appreciated!
Yes, there were definitely quite a few bands in the '90s who were on the psychedelic '60s tip... I followed a lot of them, so you'll definitely be hearing more in future episodes. Hope to have a new show ready in the next couple of weeks :-)
Just want to say thanks for the entire Sonic Daydream series, especially the Krautrock/Heavy Rock/Garage/Psych stuff...and all the other Indie/Underground,which,I agree, has a definite 60's/Psych undercurrent running through a lot of it through the decades of its existence. Fantastic work!
Greetings from the Western Isles/Outer Hebrides of Scotland.
Hi Angus— It’s fun to learn that I have a listener in the Western Isles of Scotland. Lovely country! Thanks for taking a moment to say hello… And thanks for listening!
