Well Tom D, you've done it again! Lots of "new" mind blowing rock from yesteryear. My particular favorites were the songs by Banchee (superb headphone experience), Ursa Major, and Human Instinct. Parts of that High Tide song reminded me of The Move, so its no surprise since they were both UK bands. I remember holding that Ursa Major album in my teenage hands back in the day...but alas, I did not buy the album. Keep kicking out the jams Detroit Rocker! Big D

Big D! Good to hear from you! I hope you're keeping cool down there in the South Bay!

bravo! one hour a month seems too short! I really liked the Stepson and High Tide tracks. Keep up the good work. - - Byrnes p.s. love the old commercials at the end of each podcast; they fit right in.

Hey there, Byrnes! Yeah, I wish I could do one show a week, but the "real world" keeps interfering... if only I didn't have to work for a living! Glad you dug the Stepson track. It's one of my faves in this podcast. It's a very Detroit-sounding cut from some guys from Portland Oregon!

Hi Captain - or should I be calling you Bartender now?
Great job feeding me the hard stuff. But you'll always be The Captain to me - could we have another flight to satisfy the jangle-cravings?

I can't decide which ones are my favorites on this bad-ass slab!

I mean, it doesn't get any better than After Shave's "Near the Sun," though Banchee's "John Doe" truly lifted me into the stratosphere. Stepson put me right in the mood too. And yeah, that Ursa Major is really interesting stuff. Love the drum breaks!

How is it possible that I've never heard these incredible songs and bands before?

Need a fix...push the needle in.

Good to hear from you again! Fear not... Inner-Head Flight Royale will return to the airwaves (or is it "cyberwaves"?) sometime soon. I want to get a couple more "Hard Stuff" podcasts out there and then we'll flashback to IHFR for a change o' pace.

Dude... If you liked this Hard Stuff episode, hold on to your hat 'cause the next one is going to kick your ass in a major way! I just picked the playlist and it's all killer!

And "Black Sally" has become the new theme song for my own little black girl.

I need someone to help me push the needle in....
