Greetings Tom D,
Thank you for treating our ears to another rockin' good time. It has been a long time since I've heard that particular sobriquet for Cleveland. My faves were the Television, Blondie and Devo cuts. Did you ever know anyone who owned an Olds 4-4-2? Oh, I had a friend back in the day who was hugely into Stevie Wonder, Prince and other soulful performers, but he somehow found himself at a Devo show in Phoenix... apparently that was one of the best concerts he ever attended.

Rock on!

Hey, Big D---
Glad you enjoyed the music!
I myself owned a 1973 Olds Cutlass back in the day. It was badass! It was "triple black"... black paint, black vinyl roof, black interior with big fat slick tires... but alas, it wasn't a 442 model.
I saw DEVO perform a couple times. First time was at Hill Auditorium in Ann Arbor in the early '80s, at the height of Devomania, and then again several years ago at The Fillmore in San Francisco. Both shows were a blast. Much fun! Since then, a couple band members have passed away, so I'm not sure we'll have another opportunity.

I had an 81 Olds Cutlass Supreme. It was my first car, and when I acquired the auto, it had about 100k miles on it. It was also known affectionately as "The Byrnes Bomber" back in the day. It had an untimely death many moons later when a buck decided to run into the side of the vehicle. Fortunately for me (not the deer), the car was an old school Detroit tank of a car. I survived unscathed, but the deer and the car did not. I digress.

Loved the new outing. I am a huge Ramones and Television fan, and I like my Blondie the same way: on the punk side. I like all kinds of punk music (West Coast, UK), but always had a bias toward NYC. Also, can't go wrong with classic tracks like "Ain't It Fun" and "Mongoloid". Bravo, my friend. Bravo.

Hey there, Byrnes---
Hope you're having an enjoyable summer!
So you're a fellow former Cutlass owner, too. Surprised to hear yours made it to 100K. If that deer hadn't taken it out, I'm sure some mechanical malfunction would've brought it down at some point---those '70s/'80s American cars weren't exactly built to last ;-)
Glad you enjoyed the latest! I had trouble picking only three Ramones tracks to include---so many good ones to choose from, I'm almost included a couple more!
